Who are Wildcat Dads? Fathers, grandfathers, step-fathers, uncles, and other father-figures who volunteer to serve at least one day a year in a variety of school activities as assigned by our school’s office staff.
How does the Wildcat Dads program work? At Eddins, our Wildcat Dads volunteer at various school events throughout the year, assist with Wildcat Feet Running Club or on Fridays mentoring students and assisting in classrooms. Wildcat Dads receive a detailed schedule from our Eddins staff upon arrival in the office and spend their volunteer time in classrooms, including that of their students, and out in the playground at recess.
How do I sign up? Please use the Google Doc in the barcode below to indicate your interest in the Wildcat Dads program this year. Overall explanations of each item can be found on this sheet below. Please be sure to complete the MISD background check required for all volunteers.
Wildcat Dad Role Model Day(s) - Fridays throughout the school year
Spend a day at the school helping students with various activities in small groups, attend recesses and have lunch with your students.
Running Club - Fridays throughout the school year
Help Coach Cusack with counting run club member laps
Spring Carnival Booth - March 1, 2019
We would love to host a fun booth of our own at the Spring Carnival.
Muffins with Moms - March 27 and 28, 2019
Our PTA hosts this special breakfast to say Thank You to them. We would like to have Dads help with set up/clean up and serving for this event so our Moms can enjoy this morning with their kids. This breakfast is split alphabetically between 2 mornings, and is an easy way to volunteer before you head to work.
Field Day - May 10, 2019
Our students look forward to this day all year long! Coach P does a great job putting together stations and fun activities for this day but we need a lot of volunteers to make it happen. This is an all-day event and is held in the field by the school.
End of Year Bash - May 29, 2019
This is the last big event of the school year and always a Wildcat favorite! We need assistance with set up/tear down, manning booths (including bounce houses), serving popcorn, etc.
Please scan and fill out this Google Doc to be added to the list of Wildcat Dads
