It's no secret, the heart of our PTA is our many volunteers. THERE ARE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR EVERYONE! We have many volunteers with younger children and working parent volunteers too!

Your time, even if only once for an hour or two, is truly appreciated by our students and staff. Eddins Elementary needs and wants your help. Our volunteers make an exceptional difference at Eddins, so please so please consider volunteering!

Please make sure that you have completed your 2023-2024 MISD Volunteer Background Check so that you are able to volunteer and be part of school activities on campus.

MISD Background Check

McKinney ISD requires every volunteer, whether NEW or RETURNING, to submit a background check each school year. VOLUNTEER APPLICATIONS MAY TAKE UP TO TWO WEEKS TO BE PROCESSED.

If you are unable to complete the application online, please contact the administration office at Eddins. MISD schools have computers with Internet access available in all of the libraries where the volunteer application process can be completed.

McKinney ISD is dedicated to making sure that all students have the opportunity to learn and grow in a safe and secure environment. The volunteer application process is just one effort used by the school administration to help make our schools safe.

If after two weeks you have not been contacted regarding your volunteer status, please contact MISD Human Resources at 469-302-4117. Once you are approved, you will be able to volunteer in the district throughout the school year.
