Manda Maxwell Volunteer Service Award
The Manda Maxwell Volunteer Service Award will be bestowed annually to the C.T. Eddins Elementary volunteer best exemplifying the generous, caring, and courageous qualities of Manda Maxwell.
An Eddins parent from 2014-2017, Manda Maxwell loved being part of her son's education. She became an active volunteer on our Wildcat campus, serving on our Teacher Appreciation Committee and providing great help to teachers in the classrooms. Manda, with her big smile, kind spirit, servant heart, and unwavering faith through times of trial, was an inspiration to everyone she came across. After a long and well-fought third battle with cancer, Manda went home to be with the Lord on February 26, 2017.
We cannot think of a better way to honor her memory than to offer an award that celebrates other volunteers here at Eddins who demonstrate the same wonderful qualities Manda shared with her family, friends, and community: servant-hearted, kind, loving, courageous, faithful, hopeful, persistent, altruistic, patient, positive, and prayerful.
Each school year, the principal of Eddins Elementary, along with the PTA board and family of Manda Maxwell, will select a recipient of the Manda Maxwell Volunteer Service Award from nominations received.
May Manda Maxwell's legacy continue to inspire and encourage our Eddins community to live life with strength and faith over fear.
Thank you for blessing the lives of our Wildcats!
